To increase durability the Singer CG-590 has a stainless steel bed plate, which helps protect the machine from damage due to sewing pins. A precise thread tension dial is located at the front of the machine which is simple and easy to use even for a professional in training. The Singer CG-590 has 18 built-in sewing stitches and allows you to create a buttonhole in 4-simple steps. The Singer CG-590 allows you to set the needle in the left, center or right position. The Singer CG-590 allows you to balance your stitch to the desired amount by moving the stitch balance lever. You can also set your machine to create a buttonhole by turning the dial to the 4-Step buttonhole position. The middle button presses in allowing the user to reverse the machines stitching to reinforce your stitching.
